About Us:

Harville Baptist Church is a family that deeply cares for one another. We strive to be Georgia’s friendliest church and to always show our visitors and new families that we are truly delighted and honored that they have chosen to visit and/or join with us. We invite you to join us for our services to see for yourself. When you visit us, you’ll find a warm, friendly environment, see lots of smiling faces, and be greeted with a kind handshake.

We’re excited about what God is doing in the ministries of our church and we give Him the glory for all of the blessings He has bestowed upon us as we work to spread the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Harville Baptist Church puts a strong emphasis on fellowship and family. We believe that a strong home is the foundation of a strong church. We are brought together by our faith in Jesus, a common salvation, and love for one another. These common bonds truly make us a “Family of Families”.

Harville Baptist Church was established in 1932 and has faithfully been a Pillar of Truth in our community.
Please check back with us often as we’ll be adding to our site as we grow.

What to Expect

Visiting a church for the very first time can be nerve racking to say the least. There are a thousand questions that come to mind in preparing to attend a new church for the first time. We want to take the opportunity and help answer any questions that might happen to arise.

Those that visit Harville Baptist Church can expect it to be what church is supposed to be. Because we believe that God is the audience of every service, you won’t find a casual approach to worship in any of our services. But you will find people that we take worship and serving the Lord very seriously and therefore have done our best to make each and every service a designated time that will honor God.

You will find Spirit filled congregational singing by people that have been gloriously saved and have a desire to honor their Saviour.

You will witness special music from various groups within the church that uplift the Lord and attempt to bring our attention toward heaven.

You will find an extreme emphasis on the preaching and teaching of the Scriptures. At the end of each service, there is an invitation given to respond to the challenge from God’s Word. The fact that God would take time and speak to man through the declaration of the Bible is an amazing thought within itself and demands that He receive a response from us. The Pastor or trained men and women are always available to pray with you or assist you with further help during the invitation time.

What About Children and Youth Services?
At Harville Baptist Church, we love children and take seriously the responsibility to give them the special care you would expect. The Nursery, for children age three and younger, is safe and clean. Caring and trained workers staff the nursery for each worship service.
On Sunday mornings at 11am our young ones up to 3rd grade will have a special youth church service designed especially for them. We also encourage Family Worship where our developing young men and ladies are in the worship service with their parents.

How should I dress?
There is not a set dress code at Harville Baptist Church for members or guests. Most of our church family attire is traditional “Sunday best”, as we believe very strongly that God deserves our best in every area and casualness doesn’t promote the Biblical attitude that God’s people should have when they meet to worship. Regardless of what you wear, we want you to feel welcome with God’s people as we meet with the Lord.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We invite you to our services in hopes that you find a warm welcome, a meaningful worship experience, and a helpful message from God’s Word. We do not want you, as our guest, to feel any obligation to participate in the offering but you may give as the Lord impresses upon your heart.
